Well, they are very likely to have their insurance refused if they make a claim.P3 contains way over 3 mods. Just 3 are: exhaust, air intake, intercooler. You can ad injectors, fuel pump, ECU etc and keep going.BTW mondie, dont just consider P3. There are other, arguably better sollutions out there for the same price. I don't think injectors, fuel pump, ECU are going to be looked at by an Insurance...l mean how can you tell by just looking at the engine that injectors, fuel pump, ECU are changed really.....food for thought

I've heard stories of inspectors going over cars to check for modifications in order to void any claims made.ECU and Injectors can remain hidden but fuel pump is quite obvious. Why even bother with an engineer certificate if that's the case? I've heard stories of inspectors Geeseman you could be right but stories is all they are!!! All my cars l've had were under AAMI and they never had a problem with Insurance.... e.g. AU GHIA Supercharged, lowered, exhaust, pistons, cam, tinted windows, cold air intake.....l can go on and on.....NEVER HAD A PROBLEM with AAMI <<they say so long as you inform your insurance agent you'll be covered. So are you saying you have informed AAMI of all your mods on your AU and they still cover you?I have had a different experience. They will only cover 3 mods on your car then they refuse to insure it.You can even check on their website that they do not issue quotes for more than 3 mods to the car.If you have never had a problem it may be because you have not informed them of all the mods or you have never made a claim? To give you and example my car isn't covered with phase 2 mods and trust me I have some good contacts at AAMI but when I told them what was involved they said they couldn't cover me and I am now with just cars. I also have the car lowered and have aftermarket wheels. They do have a very extensive network of investigators that check out claims. Ex police and motor mechanics and alike. Now to put it into context, these investigatoes only have to stop a payout on an XR6 Turbo because of undeclared mods and they have saved AAMI enough money to pay them for a years wages.I am not trying to stir people up, I am only trying to save anyone from being knocked back on a claim. They may not check your car out and you may be lucky, but if they do investigate you could find yourself not covered.
Mondie Firm Member Donating Members 2,924 Member For: 22y 9d Location: Adelaide Hills Posted 08/08/04 09:03 AM Author Share Posted 08/08/04 09:03 AM So Phase 3 cant be considered as just one mod  Well it was worth a try.l havent dealt with Just Cars before, sounds like they are mod friendly? Geesman, a agree there may be other better options available than P3 but the car has to be road legal. As far as l am aware P3 is the only way for me to acheive that without doing my own ADR testing? Perhaps you should email them and find out
