Someone can recommend one here in CanberraB. It won't cost me any money I've never used a broker, but I'm pretty sure that they don't cost you anything; the insurance companies pay them. So I'll give them another call back to confirm and make sure they werent bluffing etc My car is insured with Just Car Insurance. $1747 sounds about right for you compared to what I paid. There are two major drawbacks with JCI though. It is a named driver only policy, which means only people named on the policy can drive the car. Doesn't matter what age, history, etc. other people have, they can't drive the car. The other drawback is that they don't offer agreed value, only market value. Not trying to put you off them, just making sure you're aware of the pros and cons.Oh, a word of advice too. Don't ring them up during normal business hours - you'll be on hold for ages. I think their phone lines are open until 7 or 8pm. Ring closer to these times and you won't be on hold for as long. Will be buyin the car for $51ish

I was wondering as to how the insurance company's have taken this ?And who people are insured with ?I know that a number of insurance company's look at mods as a no-no,how do you get around this. Last thing I would want is to void my insurance. ( Can't order my 'T' intil at least March next year ) By the way I live in Vic.Daniel

I have a printed Certificate of Insurance to verify it...... no extra charge.I have always found GIO to be far more tolerant than other insurers, many of who won't touch mods. The Sydney branch office had to refer the matter to the head office underwriters to verify the change, as the computer system would not allow so many mods.It have a lot of other business with GIO, a fairly clean recent driving record, and a history of modified cars insured with GIO, and am a gold member, all of which probably helped.I would strongly advise that any mods be added/included to your policy, and you ensure that you get a printed Certificate of Insurance for your records.Brian
