Rural guys always get cheaper insurance.

Guess you'd need to read the fine print.

Renewal notice came increase from $89pm to $105pm I rang and asked why the rise! There response was we asses claims in the area and as the car has gotten older risk of damage increases so premium rises! Can't complain really.... My insurance is in the country so that's probably why its not too bad, plus I have heard of suburbs even making a difference to premiums.

MetalPhreak Member 28 Member For: 18y 3m 24d Posted 29/08/12 10:32 AM Share Posted 29/08/12 10:32 AM (edited) RAC Insurance2012 FG MkII XR6T SedanAgreed Value: $45kExcess: $450Western Australia, Perth23yro male with clean driving record, no prior claims etc. $920p/a Pretty happy with that. Those insurance comparison sites are useless. One I tried only came back with 3 options (probably by insurance companies that "sponsor" the site) of $3000, $3500, and $4500!?SGIO quoted me ~$1500 for the same coverage and excess levels as RAC... Pays to just try every single online quote system. I also rang up RAC to take out the insurance rather than online as I had a few quesions. Ended up being a few dollars less than the online quote (which has a $35 discount for doing it online...).Madness.
