Now 20 years old and my insurance dropped from 1400 to 1000. It's only a 2005 T ute but I have all performance modifications listed. The modifications didn't lift the premium though. Even when I was paying 1400 for full comp it was less than Mates with a magna. Just car don't seem to give a f*ck.

wow really? im with Just Car, Im 22 on a rating 2 paying $2280.. hoping to see a good drop going to rating 1 in August if all goes well.. Iv alos got all my mods listed but that's quite a list.. only thing I dont like is they value my car at $26,000... gonna give them a call and try to get that up a bit though...

Im not sure what the go is with me...I got a quote the other day from NRMA on an '11 FG XR6T, perfect driving history, 22 years old in Newcastle, with a value of $45 300 and it came out at about $990 a year or $94.60 a month.

Sound wrong?

Wow that's good as lol. I'm in an na and its enough. With AAMI and paying $89.30 or something a month. Rang up Shannon's awhile ago and enquired for a price if driving a turbo and the guy just laughed at me and said we don't insure people that young. F*cking wanker. Have lost my licence now for a total of 9months so that'll make it harder but a lot of people I've spoken to go for just car and people in here too. Some have even suggested to me to go to a broker and they'll find the cheapest for me

Yea I expected to be laughed at, and was thinking itd be around $2000. Im currently in an 05 BA MkII N/A XR6 Ute and just over a year ago it cost me $1970 a year to insure...

As far as I know, its generally best to stick with whoever you have your other policies with.

Sort of lol. I did an online quote for aami incl my suspensions and the price went through the roof lmao. Think I'll be keeping those to myself..just kept paying the insurance over the time I lost the licence.

Someone mentioned earlier that they'll do the drivers course to drop 10% until your 25. Also been meaning to do it for awhile.

My insurance was fine until I had to make a claim (wasnt my fault but as car was stolen I was the one at blame) and insurance excess alone has jumped $1000. $1800 excess now (450 basic and 350 age excess).

Went from paying 1200 a year for full comp to 1800, going from an xr6turbo to an IS200 lexus..

I don't think any insurer, credit card provider or any other place imposes a fee for doing a direct debit of your bill.
