Hmm weird..

NT laws are a bit different, but when I had an FG XR6T at 19, Just Cars quoted me $1400 with $400 excess, of an agreed value of $45,000 (which is just under what I bought the car at).

Looking at the GT 335 now, at age 20, the car will cost me $1600 with $600 excess, of an agreed value of $76k (what I bought the car for)..

So, maybe it's the fact that I'm on my full license, but comparing these to some other young people here, I think I got a bargain?

This is with Just Cars Insurance.

I can't believe how much you guys are paying. I'm 22 and pay about $600 for comprehensive with AAMI. '07 xr6t

And NO WAY would one of these be worth owning if I had to pay 3k a year! Period!

Shannons are great but not as easy getting insurance with them compared to the big brand companies.

I have been insured with the NRMA with 11 years with mulitple cars. When I got my FG T, they wanted $2150 for a 29yo with a max no claim bonus. Rang Shannon's had to answer some questions about being a motor enthusiast and now the T is with them for $1235 and they offer everything that the NRMA offer like windscreen, choice of repairer etc. I have insured my VX Calais with them too now for $350 a year compared to $950 with the NRMA.

Shannons are picky though with who they insure though.
