Hmm, It seems as though Just Car might be the way to go.

I could only imagine what RACV will say when I tell them about my future mods..

YPURV4, did you tell them about the custom tuning as well?

I have my XR6T with Suncorp, and have it rolled in with my house and bike. They undercut everyone else by about $10 a month on the car alone. My best mate just got an '06 WRX (same year as mine) and his insurer NRMA, said that the reason they couldn't match mine was my XR6T wan not a Hi-performance car and his WRX is... Has anyone elses insure stated that the XR6T is not a Hi-performance vehicle?

isnt it funny how your insurance 'mysteriously' doubles after 1 claim for 3years even when it wasnt your fault and for all your other vehicles too

2ndly has anyone had trouble with ins co's software programs and hyphenated names?

that's funny, when I called to change my Insurance to my XR6T, Just Cars put My excess/Premium up Because its considered a High Performace Vehicle... Must just be an NRMA thing...

I did a quote with Suncorp and it was the lowest that I've got from anywhere. Plus, when I checked the option for a high performance zorst, it didn't change the premium one bit!

Basically with Suncorp, for my girlfriend as primary and me secondary, costs less to insure a modified $38k XR6T, then it does for me to insure my 07 GSXR-750 (motorbike) which is probably about $11k - $12k at the most...and stock!

quick question guys, going through a change of insurance to Just cars, and wanted to know something..

it has under the conditions of being covered for theft of the vehicle, I need to have an Australian Standard Immobiliser installed.

Does the BA MKII XR6T come with an immobiliser as standard? If so, is it the right kind for cover in this Theft clause for just cars?

Thanks guys.

I would have thought so mate. Immobiliser's have been around for quite awhile, surely it would be standard. And a BA MKII is what 2004/05? Don't take this as literal, but I'm fairly sure they have one...whether or not it is up to Australian Standards is another thing, but you'd hope so being an Aussie built car!

"Thank you for your email.

I have reviewed your quote QTE53******* and I can confirm in the event of a theft or attempted theft your vehicle is required to have an Australian Standard Immobiliser fitted. Please bear in mind that some late model cars come factory with immobilisers. To confirm this, please contact your car manufacturer for details. "

Anyone able to confirm for me? Should I contact Ford directly?
