Steve_89 Member 51 Member For: 16y 8m 27d Gender: Male Posted 19/03/08 07:54 AM Share Posted 19/03/08 07:54 AM (edited) How many of you state on your insurance that the car is modded?I have the chance to save a lot of money with a particular company but they state that the car must not be modified. But I could get away with a sports kit or exhaust.Has anyone ever got into trouble for this?I have Andrews old car (SCRIBER). Which has a custom tune.Quick replys would be great. I would like to get this insured asap. Edited 19/03/08 07:56 AM by Steve_89

Best to be honest, might save you some cash in the short term to say its standard but could cost you in the long run. I have a few friends in the insurance industry and they (insurance companies) do whatever they can to avoid paying out.BTW Im 24, they know about all my mods and $1100 with Just Cars, when im 25 im going with Shannons, same price but no vehicle excess!Just my 2cJT

It is worth every cent when you need it, cause you never know whats around every corner. It's a lot of money but the added security of knowing that your pride and joy is safe is worth more to me personally. Cause if you have a claim and the insurance details aren't complete, they won't pay a cent and cancel your cover.
