They did a quote for me and it was $3o,ooo, although they have also said they take way to long to pay and stuff around.Just car's have the car at one of their yard's, everything but my FPV leather trim is insured and the back seat needs replacing so I wonder if they'll pay to replace it or not. The car was covered in bleach so I wonder if they'll respray the whole car or only the damaged section's...←Wouldn't $30,000 worth of damage be classed as a write off for a T?←My BF MK1 T got written off by NRM@ with $20,000 worth of damage. they replaced it with a MK2. Insurance is a load of BS.. I think they roll a dice on the day and that decides your premiums.. seriously.. unless canberra is recognised as a city in Iraq, or Afghanistan. I am paying 659 a year and that's with 400 excess in a major town, and with every mod listed on the policy, aswell as rating one for life. ←AAMI wouldn't touch me due to being under 25. ←I just rang up AAMI the other day to get insurance for a T and they said they don't insure anybody under the age of 30 for the XR6T

They said $1800....WTF ?They then told me they had made a mistake with my F6 premium and it should be $3,000....WTF ?He said that the F6 was faster and better than any HSV and that the premium would go up next year as they have already priced me $1400.I will be doing some shopping around as I have never lost my license, had an at fault accident and been driving for 20 years.Insurance is a joke, you can call the same company 5 times and get 5 different prices all with the same details. I bet they have a big dartboard and work out the prices from that.

It really is a joke.. maybe they decide people should pay more if they don't like your voice or something?? How else do they explain that some 21yo have cheaper insurance then yourself?? or people with bad histories have cheaper insurance.. I don't get it. I used to own a WRX modded and my insurance was thro the roof. I came along a company thro a fellow rexnetter called RYNO insurance. They cut my premiums by $700 a year and excess remained the same. Also all my mods were covered. 67 rexnetters have saved $40,927 so far in permiums.I think only conditions are must have lock up garage. I heard stories about some people getting refused for no apparent reason. Just depends on the person you get.My father saved $1000 on his GT-P.Ring 1300 650 670 to get the best quote. Tell them you read about them on REXNET. Dont bother with it online.Paulie....Let me kno how the savings go and if there is any on XRT??? I kno there was on WRX's. I'm in the process of accepting their quote. Still got a few other places I want to call, but so far they seem to be the best. In saying that, it took 4 or 5 calls from my end to finally get someone to take me seriously and get the quote sorted out.. $1460 and $1100 excess, compared to just cars who are still asking $2150, and $2500 excess, even though my cars value has been dropped from 49k, to 26k..
