I might try AAMI, but being 24, and not turning 25 till next April, I dunno what'll happen! Great result Jack, good to see Now if only I could shake this $2000 per year sh*t!! Tab, Adam and Benjam whilst on the phone before I used all of your circumstances to assist my case for insurance... I also asked about agreed value as it really is a very nice car and the guy told me to head down with my car to one of the customer service centre's and they will assist me with that... so once I'm on my feet again and driving (should be 2 weeks) I'll do that!!A HUGE THANK YOU to you boys!!! Cheers Jack ←Hopefully you won't need to use them.... but they have been just awesome with not only the quality of the repairs(all new parts) on ole'yella, but sending a tow truck when a I detected a ticking from the rear wheels after collecting the car.Put me in a cab to pick up the free renter, had 4 guys spend 3 days trying to find the noise to no avail ended up being a loose wheel weight. They had been taking the wheels off for every inpection( pulled the arse end out twice piece by piece)and of course putting the wheels back on for a road test. The bloke who replaced the rims and tyres has to the best of my knowledge left the state My point is , AAMI have provided me the best customer service I have ever experienced from any company , let alone an Auto Insurer Thanks heaps Mel :banghead:

What amazes me though is whenever you call there is no automated answering service!

Posted 05/08/06 01:19 PM Share Posted 05/08/06 01:19 PM Those kind of posts is what I was after... cheers Buf and Tab...I drive trucks for a living, and I had an accident about a year ago that ended up being the other drivers fault, but he was insured with AAMI and they chased my work (TNT Express) like a rabid greyhound until the police decided who was at fault, thankfully not me... And that kind of cemeted with me just how far they would go to prove their own case with regard to an accident, and not only that but my folks had an accident in their car that wasn't their fault either (they are insured with AAMI) and AAMI were absolutely brilliant from a customers stand point with their conduct and control or the claim... Difference was, I was already with them with my XR8.I done my online quote the morning I was picking up my xr6t, and that night got home to advice aami of my change of car..The lady said that car needs a driver over 30. I argued with her for 10 minutes regarding what the online quote said. Basically that their system ISSUED a QUOTE they should be obligated to it.I even spoke to the supervisor who said the same thing, their online system should not have allowed that quote etc etc. Personally, I was not going to push the matter on the fact that if I needed to make a claim, that's a easy way out for them...I even called up the following day (with a different quote number, I tried it all again), and spoke to another dude.. Same Result..Since my xr8 insurance was 1 week from being expired, I cancelled it there and then, and Rang RACV. No probs there.Personally I would not have pushed it with AAMI on the basis it could cause a huge sh1tfight if you had to make a claim.Danny.
