I switched from AAMI to just cars, they will give you insurance with your mods.

Mine was $1800 not bad as it is used for tradesman work which effected the premium. I have never made a claim and I am a rating 1 with all my licence points though.

You can mod your car in any way you want with them as long as it stays ROADWORTHY and you tell them about all mods made.

AAMI have a 3 mod limit from a specified list. Simply email them and they'll send you the list.

When I had my Unichip installed I advised them and they gave me confirmation in writing that they covered me for the mod.

cheers

Yeah I got bounced by AAMI even though I am a rating 1 with them for 8 years with no claims.

Chip, wheels, lowered,exhaust,cat, intercooler,injectors,fuel pump,air intake,neons,stereo = bye bye

I think I was just over the 3 mods.

Do they treat the APS Kit as 1 mod (ie phase 2, 3) or do you have to declare the individual items, which would be more than 3 in total?

the problem is untill you have to make a claim you dont really now......I think you need to be up front so that there cant be any discrepancies....the replacement cost of my car and mods is around $60000 who can afford the gamble.
