The merge plug-in is lost in north qld somewhere at the moment.

If only there was like a network of computers so that you could visit several companies to get numerous quotes without even leaving your house or something.

But anyway, most mainstream insurers won't touch under 25's for high performance vehicles. Otherwise you've got the likes of just cars etc that'll cover anyone for the right price.

Just cars I found to be very reasonable for a 22 year old lad in a spanking new WRX..

Right up until I declared mods..

Then I was fair raped..

I'm 21 and my G6ET costs just over $1,400 (Full Comprehensive with Windscreen Option) with an $800 excess (plus another $400 age excess for any under 25 driver including me). I live near Parramatta in NSW.

I actually found it was only the mainstream ones who were willing to insure it for a reasonable dollar value or at all. Basically, NRMA, AAMI, Allianz came out reasonably well, all would cover me. The only non-mainstream that would cover me was Just Car and Shannon's would too but their premium was over $7,000.

Of the non-mainstreams I tried, I actually got given (deadly serious) a quote of $14,500 or thereabouts for Comprehensive from one insurer. However, other than this absurd one, the Shannon's one and Just Car, no other mainstream insurer would touch me with a ten foot pole. I even tried Woolworths and the quote was OK and when I rang up to enquire what the go was with quotes the guy got all panicked because it should have auto rejected all turbo cars, lol.

2100 with Just Car, full comprehensive. Wasn't my 1st choice but everywhere else wanted around 4k and wouldn't allow mods.

2010 FG XR50T ute and I'm 21.

PM me if you want to insure with Allianz - I can waive our commissions and charge no extra for pay by the month.

That said, you have to garage it at night, and the excess is $2000 for theft if you don't have tracking.

All that taken into account, I still insured my car with RACV because it was cheaper...
