Lol, I never said I don't believe you, I just said that in my opinion it's a penalty for paying monthly the same way insurers charge more if you pay monthly.

Your payment will be electronically transferred from your credit card or nominated financial institution’s account. You will need to ensure there are adequate funds in your nominated financial institution’s account on the agreed instalment dates.

When will my bank account be debited?

Your ‘direct debit’ payment will be debited on the day specified on the front of your renewal notice. For instance, if your membership starts from 1 July with 1 July being your anniversary date, your account will be debited annually on 1 July or where you have chosen monthly direct debit, on or about the 15th of each month.may incur penalties and fees if there are insufficient funds in your account at the time of transfer or you have closed the account and not notified in writing to stop the direct debit process. Such penalties and fees will be your responsibility. You can cancel the direct debit arrangement whenever you choose by confirming your request in writing, with a minimum of 7 calendar days notice prior to the renewal date.

1. Drawing arrangements

1.1 By signing a direct debit request you have authorised us to arrange for the amount specified in your direct debit request to be debited from your account. We will arrange for your Financial Institution to debit your account either monthly or annually in accordance with your direct debit request.

1.2 A monthly administrative surcharge of $2.75 will be charged for monthly direct debits. No surcharge applies to an annual direct debit. You authorise us to debit that amount from your account monthly.

When buying insurance for my FG XR6T, I looked at who would be likely to repair the car and what panel beaters thoughts were about dealing with an insurance company. The trades people I spoke to said that RACV, NRMA and the relevant IAG companies were just painful to deal with and customers had to complain to get accident damage repaired. We went to Alliance eventually because tradespeople said they approve, repair and have no hastles dealing with the company.

Considering I'm buying a service that I hope to never use, I decided to get the best service should I need that service. Price really was reasonable as well considering.

Insured for 41,000

Not sure about excess I think its around 1200

I've been with AAMI for around 6 years and rating 1 so not sure if that counts towards anything, I'll have to have a look at the insurance certificate next time I'm home.

My old man cracked the sh*ts too cos he pays 750 for his g6et with no tickets or accidents at all in his 30 or so yrs behind the wheel!

Dammit, stop writing off these cars people, lol. Just looked up insurance cause I'm planning on getting a G6ET soon and some of the companies who gave me quotes 5 months ago (outrageously priced) now won't even insure you unless all drivers are over 30...
