Alot of people bag them for some reason, but if they are put together right (yes you can do it wrong) they are fine. My car is holding 18psi and loving it at the moment! Alot of people have commented that it is alot quieter than what they expect for a forged motor. From memory at the last powercruise in QLD 4 out of the top 5 Forced Induction 6cyl champs were BA/BFs with Atomic motors. that's a good indicator of the performance.I think the best way is to rebuild, cheaper than buying a new block, plus if you break the stock bottom end you can end up doing damage to the head and oil pump Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/51123-looking-to-build-my-motor-next-year/#findComment-756944 Share on other sites

I know I wont build my engine until it goes KABLAMO which might tomorrow or might be next year lol. I am happy with current power and if I want to push that 400 mark then I will consider it.
