I claim usage at tax time, as I run my car on a CHP and it gives me a great return, but I would still own the car if I didn't get that return.I bought the car when I was living at home paying board, but since January I have been renting with the GF (we divy up bills, I pay the entire rent for example, she pays the phone and Fox bill etc). Obviously now things are tighter and with the down-turn in my industry the squeeze is even more-so. I 24 in just over 2 weeks and I can't see me having the money for a house deposit in the next year, if not 2.I still enjoy myself though and I'm comfortable with my situation right now, lets see what next year brings to the industry though... My ute is under a Corporate Hire Purchase. - It's good, but I'll prob do a normal mortgage next time around though. The only real pain is not being able to claim all the GST credits at once. I started my apprenticeship at 17 finished my time at 21 and then started working away from home. longest stints away where 7 weeks. I wish I was smarter with my money back then. Fortunatly I bought two properties here in perth pre boom and that has really set myself (and a lot of other people over here) up. I don't have a lot of $'s to throw around these days but I do have my toys and and my wife and I have been fortunate enough to be able to build our dream home at a relativly young age. What gets my goat is young people (19 to 25 yr olds) who cry poor but aren't prepare to step out of there comfort zone and put in the hard yards to get ahead.naaahhh, that's closer to 30 and almost over the hill
