I never ever want to finace a car again if i can avoid it!

Worked 40 hours a week and completed my degree...Also managed to hook up with my high school sweetheart who turned out to become a physio. We bought the house when we finished Uni... We do ok. I could go back to working in IT if I wanted to make big $$$ but prefer to teach... I enjoy it... even if I work more hours and get paid heaps less!!! Guest Guests Posted 28/10/08 06:05 AM Share Posted 28/10/08 06:05 AM In a perfect world no one would use finance/loans for houses or cars, but who wants to live in a sh*tbox & drive a bomb while you save enough to pay cash for nice things? Setting yourself up as young as possible using borrowed money is the best way cause then you can retire early & enjoy as many toys as you can afford

I think you appreciate it when you have to work your arse off for it...I know people who have had sh*t handed too them all their lives...My cousins for instance, their old man was a multi millionaire in the States... Used to travel around and didn't give a sh*t about his kids... More worried about $$$... BUT he bought them both a house, a mustang each etc when they were 16... My dads twin sister (their mum) died of a stuffed liver at 45 (cause she used to just drink piss all day whilst husband travelled)... Father had no idea that his kids were drug trafficers... Only found out when my dad went to see his dying sister... The kids were jumping out the window at 3am in the mornings after their beepers had gone off... Money isn't everything... Now, one of my cousin's is dead, the other in jail and my uncle bankrupt... Got too greedy...The moral of the story... Eh... I dunno... But enjoy yourself whilst you can within your means... No point living on baked beans and toast (could be fun though) cause you could die tomorrow... At least you would die with a nice car in your possession

Guest Guests Posted 28/10/08 06:20 AM Share Posted 28/10/08 06:20 AM The way I see it, you're better off spending all you can while you can so long as you've got an investment such as a house or a term deposit that get's topped up regularly. You can't take it with you when you die!Atleast a house & car can be passed on to kids so that they don't have to struggle too hard when they hit 20 -
