If you go to Uni, it takes up until 21ish... Then earn ave $55-60k per year in first three years... How do you pay tax, for a deposit and to own a $70k car?

It's not really hard to do mate, as long as the bank thinks you can afford payments you can do whatever the hell you want.

Double income no kids (DINK) arrangement here, so paying triple the required repayments for the T to get it paid off in 2 years and an extra 25% on the mortgage repayments to keep ahead on that...saving at a pretty good rate for a rainy day too

Putting the T on gas is saving me $2,500 a year now. Best move I made with this car.

Worm's just jealous that guys upto 10 years younger are driving Phoon's & have bigger houses/mortgages than him

Just because you didn't do it mate, doesn't mean it can't be done. I'm 23 & have worked my arse off to get where I am today, that's how it's possible. A Trades Assistant these days could go work on a mine site & earn $120k+ per year which would set them up pretty well after a few years. Could start when you're 17/18 & have a house, car, mail order bride or whatever paid off before 25. Just because teacher's get sh*t money doesn't mean the rest of us do as well :blink:
