We had savings but nothing near what we wanted, but with the 14k first home buyers grant, no stamp duty, low house prices and we were able to get past mortgage insurance....how can you say no to that! Member 753 Member For: 15y 10m 22d Gender: Male Posted 03/03/09 04:34 AM Share Posted 03/03/09 04:34 AM I put up with an old (but hugely reliable) 94 v6 camry while I saved, and two years ago purchased a house. The equity just bought me an 07 BF2 Turbo :DWorth waiting for. Oh, and I'm 25 and married. So, yes, young, but spent all my money on a house, which then bought me the car. At least with both types of loans you can explore the low interest rates at the moment.
