Is that where all of your cash goes? Will it stop you from owning a house?I have a mortgage, but that is it. I own my car, my wifes car and everything in my house, plus some investments...How many of you are still living at home??? I am seeing heaps of young guys selling their T's now to "buy a house" in the advertisement...

Guest Guests Posted 28/10/08 05:48 AM Share Posted 28/10/08 05:48 AM I'm 23 with a $300k+ mortgage & loan on my car. I owned my T outright after 3 years & just traded it as half the amount on the Phoon.I don't know what you're expecting to see here but I doubt most young guys are just bludging at home while wasting their hard earned on a car alone... I use it as a deduction for my business.I guess it would have been the smarter option to buy a house first, then a fancy car. But with the hours I work... I needed some kind of reward otherwise I would have gone LOOPY long ago.I'm putting the spare pennies into a Term deposit to eventually get into my first house and keep the T at the same time. All the best mate.Whens GAS coming??????? My plan was always to buy my car first and then save and get a house, I dont plan on selling my car, if I get bored of it ill park it in the garage and play with it in 5 years. They are my babies. Decided to buy the T when we decided not to have any more kids. (Wife was very sick during pregnancy and my daughter still doesn't sleep. Needless to say we are both stuffed!)Just so you know boys!!! Don't take any offence... Each to there own... I know people who live week by week who are 50 and have never had a house... Guest Guests Posted 28/10/08 06:00 AM Share Posted 28/10/08 06:00 AM Minimum repayments are ~$2200 per month on a fixed interest rate from 3 years ago. I currently have a tenant in there that relieves the pressure a bit but they're out in 2 weeks so me & a mate can move in.If I end up in the house alone, repayments for it plus the car will be ~$2800 per month so I'd have to give up going out so much & living the lifestyle I do. All worth it in the long run though as I'll own my own home before I'm 35 if I keep going the way I am!
