Hey,

When I have the car in nuetral and I blip the throttle (very lightly, maybe 5%) I can hear a rattling noise coming from what sounds to be the gearbox. The most unusual characteristic of this noise is that it's more pronounced when I have the headlights turned on!

Does anybody have an idea what this unusual problem may be?

Cheers!

All T56's have a rattle in neutral mate, it's just how they are unfortunately :o

If you ever upgrade the clutch & get a lightened flywheel it'll be way more pronounced as well! Nothing can be done apart from changing fluid to transmax Z or similar & even then it wont be fully gone...

Headlights on could be dropping revs & makng the noise a little louder at idle

worse with the headlights on!!?!?!

that is an odd one.. what about with a/c on? that drops the revs a little and makes the gearbox a bit noisier in mine.

It's rollover noise.

A no cost extra that comes with the manual 6 speed gearbox.

Turn the stereo up.

if you wanna get rid of the noise dont let the clutch out when stoped and in neutral. your leg might get tired but there is no noise lol
