hey everybody,

As some of you know I upgreded my suspension and wheels a bit lately. came out with 19x8 fronts n 19x8.5 rears, lowered 2inches at the rear with reset leaves and new springs and 1 inch at the front with new springs, also threw in front n rear sway bars.

The problem I have now is when I take off I get a pretty loud (from inside the ute) creaking sound that seems to be coming from the rear left of the car. It only started in the last 1 or 2 weeks and ive had the mods done for about a month n a half now.

Any body know what could be causing it? Its only when im going from stop to start, or going slow over bumps n stuff.

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers Butto

this has happened to my old ute and my mates.. the leafs are rubbing together. we fixed it by cutting up a rubber tube from a bike tyre and sliding it in between the leafs that were moving

I had the same thing happen to mine, my issue was that the nut and bolt at the front of the leaf spring was not tight. Tightened it up and the sound went away. The suspension was only 2 months old when it started. I expect it to come back.

I get the exact same problem in mine, with stock suspension.

Ford fix it every time I take it in for service, reckon the U bolts for the leaves are loose.

Been meaning to have a look myself, but when they are fixing it under warranty I find it hard to get the motivation

Mine always creaks in the wet and Ford have no idea what it is. With a year of warranty "what warranty" left, what is there to do.
