hey guys I was wondering if any body can answer my question? when your catlic converter is about to sh*t its self or has sh*t its self what are some of the things you will start to notice.

the car generally will struggle to make power, or you will get a rather loud rattling sound from the cat

shine a torche up your exhaust you can sometimes see goldish flakes

really there are more sympotoms of a f*cked cat then there are for Hep C... best bet is to take it to a exhaust shop and have them check it out

Hiflow stainless cats can go too, a friend just had a xforce cat sh*t it self, car lost alot of power but there was no noise from the cat.

So are you suggesting just get a replacement stock unit?

All parts suffer from wear & eventually give up the ghost but I'd suggest putting a high flow unit in & getting a tune. Probably cost about the same dollars as buying a stock one from Fraud plus you'll have the added performance of a tune :idunno:
