SILK RSPEC Donating Members 193 Member For: 17y 21d Gender: Male Location: Brisbane Southside Posted 21/10/08 06:09 AM Share Posted 21/10/08 06:09 AM Hi guy's I am really getting annoyed with my exhaust rubbing on heat sheild under the car and was told that the BA exhausts on the typhoons etc had a bracket in the middle of them, can someone take a photo of the bracket and post it up so I know what to do to stop the exhaust moving, I didn't want to do a hard mounted bracket prefer to do something with a little bounce so it doesn't give bad vibrations throught the cabin. I'm pretty sure there is one on my car. I'll be under it again this weekend so I can take a pic then if someone else doesn't in the mean time. The only mounts I can remember being there are the one just before the middle muffler & the one behind the rear muffler...Just bend your heat shielding a little to allow enough clearance mate. Found most bolts on exaust manifold finger lose mainly on outside. this is probably your problem. I never expected this from a car that had never really been mistreeted. I did single bolt on to turbo very firm and used a tourque wrench to set at 27 nm this is hiher than recomended but have taken into acconut of extnsion required to do job. Hope this help u.
