I had the actuator changed to a 12pound one for xr6turbo developments, and had the valve springs done etc etc. The guys at BPT reckon it may be my boost solenoid is sticking that's why it was spiking? They controlled it relativly well after about 4 hours on the dyno. But they said if they can get that sorted they should see more power.. any1 with any ideas? Also, My stage 3 PW cooler I put on it has only the stock inlet/outlet sizes so they said that would of been restricting flow which is why I probally didnt get to the 350+ mark...they are gonna re-engineer the cooler to bigger inlet/outlet sizes so hopefully that will fix the flow up a bit.Other than that I was resonably happy with the power and 900+Nm of torque which really made the difference. Also had the Malwood short shifter fitted... feels great a you can slam it into gears.going to take it down to kwinnana this next wednesday to see wat time she runs... hopefully I can get my mickey thompsons in time. Guest Guests Posted 20/10/08 12:34 PM Share Posted 20/10/08 12:34 PM Your wastegate not being ported would cause overboosting if anything, not lack of boost. I'd be guessing it's your cooler inlet/outlet restricting flow & thus power.Porting the wastegate will give you a nice steady boost curve rather than that shaggy one in the first graph

Worm A much better forum Silver Donating Members 3,808 Member For: 16y 4m 19d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 21/10/08 03:28 AM Share Posted 21/10/08 03:28 AM Nice work.... I have a similar setup and I am getting 335rwkw... I would suggest it may be your wastegate/flapper?I dont have the exhaust, but may do this eventually.335 and 350 wont be much different... 335 may be better for a 1/4 time, as you get so much wheel spin and you would really only make that at 5000+rpm, which is when you are shifting anyway. I was just a lil pissed off these guys couldnt work out wat was wrong... I think once the cooler gets fixed I should see the better flow thus giving more power and better boost control?Whats involved in doing the wastegate and flapper?
