Hi all,

I've been reading these forums for a while and after recently taking an F6 for a test drive I have finally decided to buy a new FG F6.

I've never paid above RRP (sticker price) on a new car. It's a buyers market at the moment.

The best deal without shopping to hard I've done is $60K drive away on a new FG F6 with leather, 19" graphite wheels, reverse camera, and fpv floor mats. I know a better deal can be done.

So what are the best drive away prices some of the members have paid or heard of on new FG F6's?

(I tried searching but only found a similar thread on BF Typhoon drive away deals, nothing on the FG F6).

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

$60K drive away is a demonstrator, right John?

If you claim that is a new car car (un-registered) I will call you an idiot for not buying it already and trying to get a better deal. No offence intended...

I just paid $69500 drive out (inc GST) for my F6 Sedan with Auto, Leather, mats, reverse camera, tint....

I shopped around the state, and dealers with stock all came within $500 of each other, with variations in equipment....

Without haggling, I could have picked up an undriven demo for $64k on road.... In hindsight, maybe I should have.....

$60K brand new (not demo) with the above options drive/away. On a side note when I was considering a G6E the Turbo best I could do was $47K drive away (no options). I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out. If you pay anywhere near sticker price you should really get someone else to help you buy your next new car. Yeh sure some dealers will refuse to negotiate and try rip off tactics. But there are those desperate for your business. I know people in the industry, though none associated with Ford (wish they were) who gave me a good insight into how things operate.

Anyway back on topic. I was really hoping someone had picked one up slightly lower. The aim is $57K. It will happen it will just take a little time. Fortunately time is on my side as im not in a rush. The worse the economy gets the better negotiating position I will be in also. I do feel sorry for those who couldn't wait and paid anywhere near $70K for theirs, unless their money grows on trees then it doesn't matter I suppose.

As I said it will take a while, but I'll repost in this thread with the proof once the deal is done.

senna_T no offence either but I wouldn't expect anything less than your kind of response coming from a new car floor salesman. It's ok I know the delaership you work for doesn't do the type of deal im looking for.

Another tip for those interested is never deal with the person who can't make the decision I.e the simple salesman. Always insists on dealing with the sales manager. If you see they don't want to talk to you, it's simple just walk away. Plenty of dealers will accomidate you though. The golden rule in sales is never conduct a meeting without the decision makers present. You being the buyer and the sales manager being the seller, not some amateur sales person playing the go between with "wait let me go ask my manager" rubish.

In my younger days I was burnt too with new car sales tactics after finding out what real negotiated were paying for their cars. Ever since 11 new cars later I've never been ripped again. Don't intend on starting now. Again no offence to those who have paid full price. But if your happy with that at the end of the day doesn't really matter.

Hope we can keep this on topic and hopefully benifit the other more silent members on the forum who are looking to buy a new F6 also because it's a wonderful car, but not at $70K.
