Torque After Tune

just wondering what kind of torque figure id be expecting from just a flash tune, 03 ba2 t5 not going any higher than 250rwkw till I come across a cheapish t56 then ill hit it with the silly stick

Expect whatever your tuner sets it up for.

If your worried about your gearbox, let your tuner know and he won't set it up with such an aggressive tune.

It also depends on what sort of aftermarket components you have fitted.

most sheets I see with that power level are between 550-600nm.

cheers phantom & blueprint ive talked to simon at extreme f t in wa and he is aware of the t5 and im sure will tune it accordingly

my first dyno after flash tuner with 10psi tune not custom it made 219kw and 759nm

Torque is the biggest killer of the T5 boxes. Especially alot low down.

I say with that power figure you should be fine though.

Have you got a stronger clutch? It will pay to look at an upgrade very soon.

I made 272rwkw and made like 710nm, so I would think around the 600nm mark.. Basically enough to shred your tyres..

Torque will vary depending on how power is brought on & the max figure you end up with. Simon wont tune it too hard seeing as you have the T5 so you'll be sweet

From memory, I had ~650nm when I got a 252rwkw tune from Simon but a fortnight later I got dump, cat & retune netting 305rwkw & the box blew up about 1km down the road from Simons Wasn't his fault, it was just a sh*t box...
