Now the first points that I got were back in 2006 when I was still on my P's. As far as I was aware you get those points back after a year. Since the loss of those points I've lost another 9 points this year. So I should really still have 3 points left from when I lost the points on my P's.I rang Qld transport up and the lady I spoke to gave me this explanation. "Yes I do have the 3 points back but because I have lost 12 points in the space of 3 years I still loose my license." So basically I have 3 points to my name but the loss of license still stands because I have lost 12 points within 3 years.Does this sound right to everyone? I'm just a bit baffled as to how I can have 3 points still left on my license but still loose my license. Any info you may be able to shed on the subject is much appreciated. Those 3 demerit points from your P's should only last for a year and should not be taken into consideration.Court costs around here are only about $60 or something so you haven't got much to loose.Another way to look at it is, you got 3 points to last you 3 years, do you really think you will not be fined in the next 3 years lol, so basically you will loose it anyway. If I was you I would be filling out that court hearing form, you should have a good chance of winning. I would take it to court and have a shot.... you got nothing to lose except a little time and a little money.... at least this way you will find out for sure...... if you dont take it to court, you will always wonder what if!!
