HID's seem to be much of a muchness these days with all the Ebay copies and chinese versions. Who knows whats what?

THe thing I would be doing is checking whether or not they are legal on your car in your state. They may look cool, but they could look pretty crappy when they get you a canary...

ALL aftermarket HIDs are illegal. This is because they do not have auto levelers and washers. it is a ADR requirement to have the auto levelers, so it would be impossible to have it legal. The only way you could do it, is if the car came with HIDs as an option and you fitted all the stock gear.

That being said, I have run a set on my car for 2 years an not had a problem.

Far out, you can get a set of HIDs off ebay for about $80 delivered! Bugger paying $2420 for some auto levellers

I have 6000k's in the rangie and they absolutly kick arrse. I drove my ute the other night for the first time in months and was appaled out how bad the lights are compared to an $80 set of HID fitted in plain old round H4 inserts.

I would recommend 4500k's as they are less blue and produce a light that looks like really really bright halogen.

I have 4700K Raybrig H4 halogens and they are awesome, I'm still deciding whether or not to get HIDs because these are so good!

As zapper said though, they are illegal, so you run the risk
