Hi everyone, Just wondering with the detail you guys use with your dash and stuff... I used a Armor all one and after a few times of using it, the colour started to fade and looked pretty bad... Luckily this was on my old car, and now dont want to go through that same thing. Any recommendations with the products. I knoe meguiars is one of the top of the range but how about autoglym??? Would much appreciate it...

haven't tried autoglm, I use meguires dash and trim foam in the pressure can it always comes up nice

sun is your enemy when it comes to colour fade make sure you use a sun shield in the windscreen whenever you park out side

Yeh autoglym is top quality stuff but not sure how well it would work. Yeh I might just stick to the meguiars, as %90 of the products im starting use is that...

Anything that is water based, not solvent based and that is silicone free, will be fine

The water based ones will be usually a matte or satin finish and the solvent/silicone based will be glossy

The solvent dry rots rubber and vinyl and can affect plastics over time

My personal favourite is Driven to Perfection VRL, a creamy water based product that absorbs into leather, vinyl and rubber and that does not leave any residue to wipe off

Wipe on, walk away

For best results always clean your interior dash, console, door skins and seats with a non acidic, PH neutral or low alkaline silicone/solvent free cleaner

Check meguiars MSDS sheets on their website if you want to know which ones are solvent and silicone free

Most stuff is fine, just keep clear of some high gloss products (silicone-solvents) that are not dry to the touch and that attract dust

The cleaner I use every day at my shop is this one (gallons of course)
