Conrods are the same as FG XRT, but pistons are different, they have a slightly larger dish in the crown to bring compression down, and they have a stronger gudgeon pin. They aren't forged though, but are stronger than whats fitted to XR.

According to an article I read on Simon from Xtreme Ford Tuning the pistons are forged items in the new F6.

The latest issue of Perth Street Car has an article on his car and it lists the conrods as billet items and the pistons are forged.

I build these things mate, the conrods are exactly the same items as used in the XRT, which are just about identical to the ones used in the BF.

Quite possibly, but isn't it FPV that build the F6 engines?

No, all of the I6 engines are put together in Geelong - its only the BOSS motors that are put together at FPV
