Posted 14/10/08 04:36 AM Share Posted 14/10/08 04:36 AM swmbo's Outback R ran out of rego a month ago, her solution, get a new car.I'm not one to contradict such logic so off we went....Sadly she has a looong memory so the blue oval was out of the question. She wanted another Outback, as she likes Subis... I didn't even try for a STI WRX but...The Outback, (a pretty good car) was avoided "It's a station wagon, and things from the back may fly forward and hit the baby."Thankfully that saved us from the indignity of a Tribeca also (cold shivers and vomit)so then there's the Liberty, the pram was inserted and removed from the boot (it fits easier into the EVO believe it or not)the base model Lib was a bit slow, the Bspec with the 3 ltr engine was pretty nice but there in the show room was an sti liberty limited edition it's 48 of 250 built (2.5 turbo sti modded) 18's and all the fruitso I says...Gee, you'd really want the one with the good Brakes (Brembos) get the sti....It's safer for the baby.see pic

Posted 14/10/08 05:00 AM Author Share Posted 14/10/08 05:00 AM Back before the speed limits got restricted here, one of those was the only thing that nearly kept up with me in the EVO,I had to exceed 250 to pull away from him. I was impressed.

Great car but still a bit lacking in the engine department for my liking. At least now they get Brembos not the standard brakes which are only average.cheers, mondie

Sadly, she's starting to cotton on...The last "service" bill for the EVO for $10,000Racing pads, New suspension, new exhaustretune...lowered..Ralliart clutchect ect...."That car costs too much to service!"followed by"No you can't drive m,y new car, you'll brake it and it'll cost $10,000 to fix it.Hoist on my own petard..
