Boost Gauge Installation

I'm currently in the process of installing a boost gauge into my BF MKII T and have run into a little bit of trouble. What is the appropriate sized T piece that I can use to splice into the BOV line to read boost?

Secondly, is it possible to run the boost line from above the dash, through the passenger side footwell grommet and into the engine bay without removing the ICC? If so, what's the best way to accomplish this?

I know there are threads on gauge installation, but I'm yet to find one that explains in detail how to complete it without ICC removal.

Thanks.

Well, when you brought the boost guage it should have come with a T piece and im pretty sure they are just universal so that one should be fine.

Where about were u going to mount the guage? I had trouble gettin an accurate reading from mine when I mounted it above the dash so now it sits above the drivers left knee, lower left hand side of the steering wheel. Im getting really good readings from it there

The T piece that it came with looks too small for the BOV hose. I'd prefer to get a larger diameter T piece that fits tight, than clamping down on a lose hose around it.

What gauge are you using? I wouldn't have thought the position of the gauge would make any difference to the readings? given that alot of people seem to place their gauges on the dash without any problems.

The hose to the BOV is actually just really thick - I installed the Autometer Cobalt in mine a couple of weeks ago and was skeptical, but it is big enough to fit snugly. What's wrong with taking the ICC out? It's a small job and makes feeding the tube down the left hand side much easier.

yep t-piece will fit fine in BOV pipework

Removing the ICC really is a piece of piss mate and makes the job heaps easier and it gives you a place to mount the boost sender
