Bit tense towards the end when the pits seemed to be warning Lowndes that his fuel was getting low. So glad he wasn't left at the top of the mountain on the last lap with a conked out engine because we all know who was in second place!Whew, all worked out like magic though. I'm glad Kelly DNF's after swapping cars (I thought that was banned years ago). They have to something about that pace car crap though. Realistically. Lowndes/Wincup would've had won by miles, and the pace cars are what got Murphy back into contention (it was also off the back of a pace car that Wincup made the mistake at Phillip Island). Aside from that, it was frustrating viewing with all of the pace cars for inthe last 80 laps.Let's see if Ford actually take advantage of the win this time and run some adverts based on their Bathurst dominance for the last three years. Soooo worth the $135 for the weekend ticket (paddock pass included). Started Sunday at the end of pit straight on Hell Corner and about about 10-15000 ford fans erupted when Tander stalled it on the line and Ford went around turn one in 1, 2, 3, 4 haha. Spent the 1st 33 laps on pit straight until Lowndes pitted then we headed up to the top of the mountain. Its amazing watching them go through Skyline and down the esses into forrest elbow, being only a metre of two at some points. Saw the GRM car go off at skyline to the delight of Ford fans once again but just missed Skaifey hitting the wall at Forrest Elbow with Wincup pressuring him as we just left that area.I definately reccommend it to everyone here to get up to the mountain, ill be back next year GO THE FALCONS! My point is a marketing issue with Fraud in the performance stakes. The GT does not cut the mustard as stock against it's HSV rival. Where perceptions are king in spending 65+gs on a new car they are not doing enough. The performance king of the FPV stable is the F6, are they milking it's latent potential... in short no.This is where you convert the fence sitting V8 traditionalists, and keep them once you're an owner. Is the GT without a SC ever going to challnge HSV. NoThey are in fact doing nothing to address the leakage to the other lot. 70% of an ever reducing pie is not the business model for future growth. There will always be a market for Ford V8s( though IMO not sustainable), make it better or the F6 it is. Unless Fraud win the next line extension the Blue Ovals V8's days are numbered , albeit a crying shame for something that could have easily been avoided.Helloooo you stupid stupid, stupids mungoes
