Isn't it enough that they give very strict spec on the engines already. I loved it few years back when BMW was the fastest on the straight but not as good in the corners, it was so much fun. And Moto GP or Superbikes (don't remember which one), between Dukati and Yamaha, Duke would overtake it on the straight but loose later on in one of the corners, and this was going on for laps and laps.Control engines makes it cheaper but takes out the competitiveness between manufacturers and doesn't make it as exciting to watch.
