apparently Bernie Eccelstone wants to introduce control ENGINES!

Stupidest decision I have ever heard, Can say goodbye to ALL manufacturer support.

They are trying to keep the cost down, as one team is pulling out at the end of the season and 2 other teams are in danger for 2010.

But control engines? that's just pushing it too far. Isn't it enough that they give very strict spec on the engines already. I loved it few years back when BMW was the fastest on the straight but not as good in the corners, it was so much fun.

And Moto GP or Superbikes (don't remember which one), between Dukati and Yamaha, Duke would overtake it on the straight but loose later on in one of the corners, and this was going on for laps and laps.

Control engines makes it cheaper but takes out the competitiveness between manufacturers and doesn't make it as exciting to watch.
