Looking For Power Of 350rwkw And Up

I'm trying to put together a package of modifications for my BF MKII XR6T that will provide an "easy" 350kw atw and potentially the ability to push the 400 mark.

At this stage, the modifications being considered are:

Flash box/tune

Stage 2 intercooler from PW, Plazmaman or the like, including under battery air intake

Seimens injectors (62 lbs I believe)

X force exhaust - 4 inch dump, 3.5 inch cat with twin 2.5inch system

Bosch 044 Fuel pump

12psi actuator and wastegate 'Flapper" mod.

These seem to be the standard upgrades when looking for the 330-350kw atw mark. However what can be done to push this into the higher 300's/low 400's? For example, is an upgrade intake plenum going to help me or is there something else out there?? And is this power possible on 15psi, or is this the power level where internal engine modifications become a necessity?

Most importantly the car must:

- Produce excellent torque (eg 4th of 5th gear pull at 60km/h should be effortless)

- Produce consistent power.

Thanks in advance.

Bigger intake manifold would be a good option, get something better then an under battery intake, something like Rapids 4 inch intake. With those mods you've posted + a better intake manifold and a good CAI I dont see why you cant make close to the 400rwkw mark?

Although I could be wrong.

The under battery intake has a limit of about 350rwkw although a few people have gone above with this. It would be better if you used a 4inch intake of one of the advertisers. The only other mod that I would add to the ones that you have already listed is a plenum of some sort. Than you should safely see 400rwkw easily.

I'd also suggest a surge tank in conjunction with the 044 pump to provide an added margin of safety, providing the intank pump is up to the task in keeping the juice up to the surge tank. Process West have a nice surge tank set up :idunno:

Not realy. I have a 3" ub intake, hot side piping, cooler, coldside piping (all RAPID gear) 60lb injectors, in tank pump, 4"dump and cat in to twin 2.5" redback runing 15lb makes 350 rwkw with flash tune and profec b boost controler. The next mods needed are flapper mod and plenum. Not to make more HP but to make the same at lower boost (13lb) and more control over the boost but can wind it up if needed. I have used the 3" intake to restrict to amount of power I can make as it is a ba bottem end but if I had the bf2 or poon one I would have gorn for a 4" intake.

The 4 inch intake sounds like a good idea. Is there anyway to retain the factory battery position and have the larger intake?

plazmaman do a 3inch with the battery hidden inside the airbox simmilar to this but I think this one is for the battery relocated bellow the airbox.

What exactly is involved in the "flapper" mod and is this a costly change to make to the wastegate?

The 3 inch airbox + hidden battery sounds ideal given the short pipe length directly into the turbo. The 4 inch intake would be great though.

After upgrading the plenum and intake, does this take the engine to its limits before much bigger boost and stronger internals are necessary?

look at a full plazmaman 800 hp kit

add a set of siemens injectors big cat centre muffler removed, fuel pump and surge tank,

350 easy, I would not go past 350 on a stock bottom end.

then you can get a waste gate port job actuator and a big custom zorst for more power later.
