At the end of the day its only a car, whats the fun of having the car if others can't enjoy it with you.I'm not sure about every one else but I tend to have cycles with cars, 0 to 3 months its off limits, 3 to 12 months I blow a small fortune on mods and let a few people drive the car 12 to 35 months I enjoy the car but let people who can drive, drive it if they need to, 35 to 36 months I find any poor excuse why I need to get rid of the car and buy a new one. Donating Members 703 Member For: 20y 7m 27d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 03/10/08 10:20 AM Share Posted 03/10/08 10:20 AM I let people I know drive my car all the time. I enjoy seeing peoples responses who have never driven a fast car before. Some of the many people who I let take my car for a spin went out and bought one shortly after. At the end of the day its only a car, and its really not that hard to drive... I let my wife drive it but on the softest tune I have which would still would cause most people in the passanger seat to crap themselves. the only people that drive the car are my tuner & his boys & my wife & I. the car still catches me unawares sometimes. definatly no funny stuff around corners anymore. yes your right it is just a car but its my car & for a bloke that drives a normal everyday car to get into it & give it a gutful wouldnt know what to do with it & would probably put it into the nearest solid object. im not sayin im the greatest driver but ive gotten used to the car in its different stages & I know it inside & out with the do's & dont of when to abuse it. in the wrong hands they are weapons & not the good type. doesnt matter how much money he has what would you think if he pranged it & wrote the thing off. unlikely but as they say s*&t happens. sorry to be the downer but that's the possability. on the other hand how would you feel if you did the same to his? Im normally in the passenger seat anyway, and having seen people who drive it they are normally more scared to be driving it than I am to lend it. And all of them are smart enough to know that they are not on a race track and drive it accordingly. Sure give it a squirt now and then but no f*ckin drifting! The noise my intake makes scares the GF enough - mainly cos she knows what comes after the noise! He says to me how the f*^k do you drive this thing with that clutch? He drove my sweet T around the block and parked it. LOL, well after I explained the situation he says how much time have you got, take me for a spin. (in HIS car mind you) So off we went for a lap up to my private road next to the farm, and well the rest is history. His passenger seat is full of claw marks...ROFL. Sweet. For $200K the suspension is nice, the note is nice especially at 7000rpm, it just sings along nicely. Definately not the torque of the T, but it makes good power and great fun to drive.I'm looking forward to a track day in it, see if I can improve my PB's??? Who knows.
