hi guys been having trouble with me ba xr6t (manual ) not boosting all the time, have narrowed it down it is a lot worse when engine is up to temp or after I have been driving for a while. here is what I have done so far, been lucky to have another xr6t to swap some bits, have had turbo off tightened all studs bolts etc, replaced acuator cleaned and tried different solenoid swapped boost pressure switch replaced vaccum hoses swapped BOV changed plugs and regapped replaced fuel filter have had exhaust off had front bar off and checked hoses and intercooler and replaced clamps, have swapped engine crossoverpipe have had scanner on vehicle and found no trouble codes and no obvious problems watching live data. Im a mechanic by trade and getting frustrated I cant fix my own car so hopefully I have missed something obvious to some of you gurus out there any advise would be great cheers

There could be a split in an intercooler hose that isn't as apparent as a blown off hose? Maybe do a pressure test on the system if you have the tools available to do so?? What about air filter? I know it's obvious & you probably already checked but make sure it's not blocked...

Blocked cat???

Do you have a boost gauge fitted? If so, does it make any boost at all? Does it try to come on boost and then flatten off totally? Does it miss under hard acceleration/load or high in the rev range. Will it still rev out cleanly to 6k. Try some of these things and share some more info with us and maybe we can help troubleshoot.

checked the turbo nmanifold? I know it a long shot but couldn't a crack open up when it heats thus causing leakage? Feel free anyone to correct me if I am completely out the ballpark!

Hay m8, just wanted to known if you managed to locate the problem, it appears I have the same problem, I havent started fixin it yet wanted to check the forums, but myne has full boost and goes like a cut cut then, at temp no boost / over-fueling, at 2500 - 3000 rpm. btw im runnin a standard 03 mk1 BA auto. will try solinoid, re gappin the plugs, coil test and throttle body clean, here's hopen, cant let the commy's win.

G'dae mate, noticed that its been a couple of years since your no boost at operating temp problem. I was just wondering (if you receive this) if you managed to locate the problem? Because unfortunately my mk1 BA is doing the exact same thing. I've serviced the boost solenoid, cleaned and gap tested the spark plugs, put a meter over the coil packs and resistance wise all is good, also cleaned the throttle body, perhaps fuel filter next? I got a mechanic mate that has a tune shop, so I'll go there and pressure test the piping at temp, otherwise I'm at a bit of a loss as im a sparky and only a hobby mechanic. Your insight would be greatly appreciated.
