And I have the stock 3 inch dump with an XFORCE 3.5 inch cat... and center mufflers removed...Made 335rwkw... @ 16psi... And makes 306 @ ~12psi...Definitely piping and cooler... Did they measure the intake temps? It should have at least had a "hero run" whilst the engine was cool...You sure there are no leaks in your system? Have a boost gauge? Weird... ICJLSY Member 38 Member For: 18y 10m 4d Posted 03/10/08 05:25 PM Author Share Posted 03/10/08 05:25 PM problems problems more problems..took the car out for a spin tonight to see how it would run after this work n tune was now done.1st thing ive noticd stuffing up was the startup and idling..since I got my car back from hpf, its taken longer and longer each time to tick over. its asif I have a flat battery, but the battery is like 1mnth old so I dont see how that could be the problem.the idling jumps to about 2200 then bak down to under 1000 then sits on about 1500 bak down, back up, etc..doesnt seem normal to me.then tonight along side my mates mps who I normally take the piss out of, we couldnt seperate till I hit 3rd gear. then at 120 the car starts like choking(like it dus on valet mode wen u hit3000rpm) n wouldnt go past 4000rpm, backfired a nice flame out.tank was just over a 1/4 wen I noticed this. kept driving, n noticed once I put my foot down, the gear changes now lagged also. wudnt change as sharp as it used to.filled up..as thought this may be the problem.car ran a bit better, but when putting the foot down this time, while the gear changes where more sharp, the top speed was limited..also noticed that the boost spiked to 18psi on my 15psi tune..wtf is going on and more so what should I do about it? Has a smaller workshop and doesn't just churn cars... Actually takes pride in what he does...With all of those mods, as I said, with just a cooler upgrade I am pulling 335rwkw @ 16psi and over 300 with 12... As stated before, your boost levels are recorded on the cold side of the intercooler, hence, to get 15psi on the cold side of a stock intercooler, your turbo would be boosting to 18psi... Not good... Also not good for your engine to be taking in hot air, which it would be with a stock cooler...Upgrade your cooler and piping, then get a retune... Also, before the retune, you need to have your plugs checked, they may be regapped, but how old are they? They could be shagged??? $100ish for a new set of iridium plugs that have already been gapped to .8mm... Next, fuel filter... If this is clogged it could cause big problems... And was the fuel pump genuine? Who fitted it???I dont know about you, but when you have spent so much money on your car, I would not be happy... You could take it back to HPF and ask them WTF is going on... When I spoke to Mick @ PitLane, he explained everything in detail.... Why an actuator upgrade was a good idea, how it worked... Which size is exhaust is best and why... Not just a drop in and pick up... That sounds more like a Dry Cleaning Company to me...Worm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
