Didnt know wether to put this topic here or I-cooler section but hey,

Well on my way to the city last night, was having an awsome drive, overtaking, just giving it a bootfull whenever lol. Then all the fun stopped, no boost, well a little bit, but more air escaping than anything.. Parked in Crown, couldnt touch the car as it was HOT, but couldnt see any hoses loose, and didnt hear the pipe 'pop' off.. Drove like a grandma home..

Anyway had a look this morning and the joiner off the front of the turbo is pretty shagged and the one that connects to the throttle body is also fairly shagged. As if they have shrunk and there isnt enough 'meat' on em to clamp onto the pipe.

My question is would it be better buying those blue joiners I see everywhere or just get the OEM ones? Im still running all the standard piping and crossover.. Ford service is closed and im guessing any performance joints are closed also atm, so who better to turn too than ppl in the know..

What are your thoughts?

Yep the standard ones are rubber and will crack eventually. I replaced mine with silicon hose from Pirtek and also got some better hose clamps for them as well.

Careful no bits off the shagged one on the turbo get in there. Could damage the blades there.

Just got back from FORD, they wanted like $40+ for the turbo one and $60+ for the tb one, so bugger that. Think ill go to Bursons, repco or the likes to see what they have..
