I guess if I were in the market for a new GT I would consider the 5th anniversary for no other reason then its looks a 'LITTLE' different.

What they need to do is add a cosmetic change that stands out. I.e. factory shaker and get rid of those bonnet stickers. 20" wheels and maybe even small things like different colour brakes. Blue calipers (any colour other than red for that matter) may not sound like a lot but its one of those things that the people who know their ford will look at and talk about.

Maybe the shaker idea sounds gay but its better than some prototype wheels that did not make the cut for the FG range and a slight mod to the already standard sticking.

I can just imagine the design team now. 'hey remember those wheels we did not like. lets bring em back for a limited addition and call em special'.

Fair Call DaveO, but they really don't need an R-Spec package on the new ones. The standard suspension is way better than the old R-Specs anyway

I would have called it the other way actually... Standard suspension in the new FG GT I took for a test drive felt way sloppier than even the standard suspension in my BFII GT. It seemed to have more body roll than our WM Caprice fitted with FE2 aswell. An FG GT owner whose had the car for a couple of months has confirmed this and is intending to upgrade his suspension with aftermarket components.

From a dealers perspective buying these cars off FPV, I wouldn't bother buying too many if I were you. It's not going to have the appeal of the 40th anniversary and the Cobra. I think the price is a bit steep too as your pretty much paying for the big brakes. The new wheels aren't any bigger so I don't see why they should cost more and a few stickers and badges doesn't add up to what they are asking... $9500 (how did they come up with this????!!!!) worth for $5500 worth...

It's actually a shame they didn't make the FG F6 the 5th anniversary model special with GT-P seats, big brakes, proper suspension and if it was possible some wider new lightweight wheels at the rear. A bit like an HSV Clubsport DTS pack I guess from the VZs.

The mere mention of the word Gt would have me ejaculating all over the place, now a car with a blue oval and those two letters and made in the last twenty years would not even make my top 100 cars.

We have bought none of these from FPV!

The 9,500 grand is mate up of the Brakes, Stripe Package, Leather and mats

Of course its a photochop - they haven't built any yet!
