Other WA names include blueline emperor; emperor; greater spangled emperor; green snapper; lesser spangled emperor; morwong; North West snapper; norwest snapper; nor-west snapper; Nor'wester; sand bream; sand snapper; yellow sweetlip. Most serious west aussie anglers know them as Spangled Emporer but like all states, names are very different (ie Jewfish / mulloway / dhufish saga!)Pretty common around Exmouth, Waroora Station, Coral Bay etc. Dare I say one of the most widely caught fish in that area as you can catch them from the beach / rocks around the reefy areas.
