They angle towards driver and up and they are easy to readThey also have red warning lights on the face for when they go above/below at certain set point.In the throws of battle you dont have time to look at gauges anyway. Tacho's have rev limiters/shift lights, speedo's now have audible overspeed warnings and these are placed straight in front of us.
