Weeks before that same sort of scenario different group of people, same result and it got me thinking. How Rigged was the last election?I can't find a single person I know that voted labor, it might just be the demographic Im in but frankly I couldn't care about politics any less, I think majority of them are full of sh*t and spend their entire careers covering their own a*ses and kissing other peoples to get ahead... but that's just me.Who did you vote for? And if it was the National Party or The Greens, be realistic, the probably wont win an election in your life time so... If it was ONLY between Liberal and Labor who would u vote for? I have only met 1 or 2 people who have said they voted labor. It was constantly be pushed on her to vote Labor, I spent hours convincing her they were full of it.Most union based jobs were pushing very hard to get Labor in, anything from Hospitals, school to trades. Now people either deny they voted for Rudd or admit they did and in the same sentence admit it was a mistake. What we do have to realize is that the current economic down turn would have still happened with Howard in, the difference is how we come out the other end of it. Rudd and Swan are not up to it, Howard and Costello were. That’s got all the union stooges in an absolute spin http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/09/21/2370049.htm Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/50033-labor-or-liberal/#findComment-738792 Share on other sites

All pollies suck, but they are certainly the best of a bad bunch. If you really paid attention to work choices, the only real changes were the abolishment of compulsary union membership, the banning of unnanounced union visits, and the ability for individuals to negotiate their own contracts, and raise their own dismissal disputes. But, Work Choices did not prevent Union membership, nor did it prevent workers electing to alow their union to do their negotiations. This is what the Unions hated, it meant an end to their strong arm, standover tactics. All of the problems raised with Work Choices before the elections were Union generated, where the Unions fed companies false information on Work Choices, encouraging them to fire and re hire, etc. The Unions did nothing to protect the workers when approached because they wanted their propaganda. The entire Labour campaign was built on lies, unfortunatly not enough people realised it. I looked around and realized I was in a lesser financially strong area of Sydney, and there was people all around voting for Labour... it was even written on shirts, hats and badges... All directed to the slogan "KEVIN 07, Crossed out Work Choices, and basically talk of Howard having being in to long therefor who would be next?"...Then in the local council elections a few weeks ago the girly (current) asked me also what to do, I said mmeeehhh up to you... She comes out and says she voted 'Donkey' as she did in the last national elections... I asked why, and she just said I dont know...Could it have been a case of far to many younger voters being caught up in KEVIN 07, rather then their typical donkey vote.Just a thought... Guest Guests Posted 23/09/08 03:01 AM Share Posted 23/09/08 03:01 AM Liberal here too.I don't think much of any candidates when the election rolls around as they all seem like slimy buggers so I thought, best stick with the evil we knew...
