Racer Pro Tuning Package

Iam waiting for a fix to this problem from my supplier but if you can help before he can let me know.

I have purchased a SCT Racer Pro package.

It is a tuning package for the individual similiar to the Workshop version Advantage 3.

I have it installed on a Laptop that is running Vista.

The problem is that I have no value's present in the tables.

When I open the Advantage 3 program it comes up with a error that says:

Warning

Errors occured while loading data. Some items may not be available for edit.

There is no values anywhere.

If I try to load in other perimeter files I get:

Advantage Version 3.3 Build 72

Unhandled exception has occured in your application.If you click Continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.if you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Index was outside the bounds of array.

I have ticked all boxs in Tools/Options/General and still no value's showing.

I have also done all updates and done all procedures for it to be complied with Vista that I have found.

Eg run in windows XP S2, turned off Admin account. extracted RockeyRegVista into SCT folder.

When I load in say Injector value file as I mentioned before it doesn't show any values but in history it shows it has been done. when I go to close program I get:

Confirm

Tune 32GJ - 1 has been modified and is not yet saved. save before closing?

Please help if anyone knows or if anyone is local to Logan City that is prepaired to help me get it sorted let me know.

Just curious,what was the outcome of the problem you were having? Im also interested in the racer pro tuning software, has yours been bought locally? Pm the info if you like.

He had it sorted a while ago and has been tuning his BA with some pretty serious hardware...now has a TO4z.

Herrod Motorsport are distributing the Pro Racer software and are no longer offering AdvantageIII to non-business orientated users. Reason is to stop backyarders under-cutting tuning shops.

Anyway get yourself a good wideband that you can log with, an xcal2 for OBDII logging and the software and you can tune yourself. There's lots to learn and it's quite time consuming but it's an enjoyable process.

whats the difference between Racer Pro and Advantage III ?

if you have Racer Pro are you locked to tuning just 1 device? whats the upside to going Advantage III?

Thanks for the reply,I did happen to be browsing the Herrod site but it didnt seem to offer any pricing on the Racerpro.Would the Innovate Lm 1 or Lm2 be suitable to run with Racerpro for home tuning? Millers Racer pro is for 1 vehicle and Advantage III is for workshops doing multiple vehicle tunes.Its also alot dearer to purchase,that's my understanding anyway.

Yeah the racer pro stuff is for one code only. I use an LM-2 as it's easy to use and I can download logs easily. The LM-2,s OBDII doesn't work on my BA but I have heard of it working on BF's. I tried on a BF and it didn't work but it might be the operator for all I know! I use the xcal2 for OBDII logging so I haven't bothered looking into it.

Vista you say. Just a hunch but try running the program as admin then see what happens.

Bit late there for help, Sorry guys I had sorted it ages ago.

It ended up being a faulty dongle.

Herrods price is very cheap as it cost me $1300 but maybe the dollar was worst then.

I use the Livewire software for data logging.

I have a 51mm PLX Devices gauge setup for monitoring the AFR or Lambda.

These gauge setups are orsm, with being able to select either anologe, digital, graph

or multi sensor display.

Also have the option of making your own gauge.

Its a Oled display.

I will be doing a video of my Oil Pressure and AFR once I find out the best way to convert

and post up for displaying.

Just to say how good these are, well on graph mode you can see the pulsations in the oil pressure.
