In the morning, I notice when I pop the boot, the solenoid fires several times, loudly. It opens the boot on the first click though (if you could call it a click). It is a pain in the butt. It doesnt happen all the time, but when it does it scares the crap out of me. Is it a sticky mechanism , or soldenoid itself. Has anyone had this problem. Also, does anyone know a good ford service dealership somewhere in southern NSW? Will warranty fix this prob? Cheers, Martin

If I take it into any ford dealership, they should be able to fix it for me for nothing? (My last car was a humble old XF, in that case I would of just pulled it apart myself!) The first time they said couldn't replicate it, I said come out - I can do it 9 times out of 10...Finally got it fixed - they had to wind out the little rubber plugs at each corner so the boot actually lifted clear of the catch when it opens. Was about time too - I was getting sick of Expensive Daewoo owners making comments. It got to a stage where I would avoid opening the boot.
