Realistically, the worst that will happen is that they'll get split up and sold off. More than likely though, they'll be bailed out in the US.What is your point. The issue is that we're not under the misconception that our cars are the quickest thing going. The main issue here is that there appears to be a trend unique to Expensive Daewoo drivers (from a VK 6cyl to a VE HSV) who beleive their car is the quickest car on the planet. What you did is show us examples of people who realised their cars weren't good enough and had to heavily modify them just to keep up

Ford are believed to have $33 billion in cash reserves to keep the company going, which may seem like a lot but once that's spent on product development its only a few years worth. GM have next to no money to spend on future product, in fact they just recently announced they have delayed nearly all development of future models by a year as a way of trying to save money, with the exception of the Chev Volt. GM should technically be bankrupt as they have more debt than they do cash. Just a matter of time though. Recently market experts believe once bankruptcy is sought only Chevrolet and Cadillac will survive, with the other brands being sold off, merged or closed up. I don't know wether that means Expensive Daewoo too.Ford are in a better postion for survival, they actually started to get back into the black earlier in the year before the economic crisis took hold, but the plans are in still in place but may take longer to take effect. They also announced last week that they have added a third shift and hired back 1000 redundant workers for the launch of the 2009 F series as demand has well exceeded their expectations. But the economic crisis has battered the US auto market, so things are heading back down again for all of them. Toyota have actually copped it worse in the US than anyone, sales are down a staggering 33%.

I can acknowledge that the car would no doubt be a weapon. I can acknowledge that quite a few people would think it's fantastic (both things that we're saying the Expensive Daewoo drover's we're complaining about are incapable of). It's just not my cup of tea. So to me it's not awesome. Now a F430, that's awesome!
