I finally got to the United on the Princess Hwy Mulgrave and put $60 in, so I'll see how it goes. I asked the bloke behind the counter if Mobile supply them and he said "yes" but not sure if he understood me....anyhow....

Cheers,

I've been buying the stuff from Patterson Lakes for a few weeks. It does seem a little punchier and the engine seems to want to rev a little more freely. It is only 10c a litre more than standard unleaded but I find that fuel economy is worse. Probably about 1.5 - 2 litres worse city cycle.

LOL Dean St, I don't even drive down there with those bigass speedhumps they have...and all the Bombadores with chromies and v8 supercar rear spoilers are too annoying :banghead:

I'm talking about the United servo at Lavington, I've only driven past it everyday for the last eight months it never even crossed my mind they would have 100 octane fuel in this prehistoric town :spoton:

I used to use united 98 (csr 10% etha). But since moving house, there isn't a united servo for miles, so now I use

BP ultimate. Have noticed a increase in power, a little more response, and about 60 to 80 kms more out of a tank of fuel. So the savings I thought I was making on the united fuel compared with the BP, was really eaten up in the economy.

Now all you boys need to do is bite the bullet and get a Liquid Gas Injection conversion... :spoton:

SUPAGAS has 100% propane gas at the moment for 36c per litre... Well worth it... I suppose, it is ONLY 112 RON... :roflmbo:

And you can get party tricks happening with BBQ's out of your boot on cruises... :roflmbo:
