Nice work Brian, let us know how you go!

From memory its on the right hand side of the road heading towards the Hills Dist from Parra!

Its the White servo on the corner from memory - United, or an Indy....

Sounds like your not to far from us! Howdy neighbor! :wavey:

I live in Winston Hills. I paid them a vist last night. It is across the road from the Northmead bowling club.

They had 100ron at 154c/l. The guy behind the counter said it is a privately owned servo (by 2 brothers). I asked if it was the same as the fuel used by United in Victoria, and he replied that fuel was supplied by Mobil. I said I didn't think Mobil had 100ron fuel, and he said that's all he knew, and that if I wanted to know more that I need to come back during the day and talk to the owner.

I'll find out more next week.

Where does United source their fuel from in Victoria?

I find it hard to believe that Mobil would blend up a 100 ron fuel in Sydney just for 1 servo outlet.

Brian

I filled up half of my tank with 100 octane V power before the Great Ocean Cruise (So about a half / half mix with 98)

Didnt notice much of a performance difference, but sure did help economy.

I got close to 650 to a tank with a fair bit of HARD driving.

I found it had a bit more poke down low with the V Racing, and yeah the fuel economy was much better when I drove the car normal that is :buttrock:

On my way to work this morning I paid a visit to the servo I mentioned at Northmead as per previous post.

It is owned by Northmead Auto Centre, and there is a large is a very large workshop inderneath the servo, which you don't notice from the main road, as there is a side entrance, and the lands slopes away.

I spoke to the owner, and he showed me his workshop. They build transmissions and engines, and prepare big HP cars for drag racing.

He said he nows nothing about United in Victoria, he gets his fuel from Mobil that is 98 plus a 5% blend of ethanol to bring it up to 100ron.

(Shell VPower Racing 100 ron that has been withdrawn was also a 5% ethanol blend.)

I asked if Mobil do this for anyone else, he said he didn't know and he asked Mobil to do it for him; I asked him why he did this, and he pointed to a beautiful black E55 AMG that he wants high octane fuel for his own personal use.

I suppose he figures there is a market for it.

I will give it a try next tank, but the car will have to go back to Tunehouse for a test.

Mobil huh? hhhmmmm

I know that CSR are doing a 100 but its 10% Ethonol from memory... This was the stuff I thought the guy in northmead was selling...

I could have bet it was a CSR sticker I saw on the pump weeks ago??? Maybe it was in Wodonga now that I look at the United website...

CSR product the United fuel from memory...

Could the guy in Northmead be buying from a Mobil Disty, but its infact fuel from United and/or CSR???

I think I have just confussed myself.... :3gears::bum::blush: Regardless of the Black Beauty AMG, I still cant see Mobil making fuel for just one outlet...

Would be interesting to see someone test and check the Oct rating in his '100' fuel...
