As the title says immoving to Perth next year to follow a career in the mining industry. Just want to know if any of the WA ppl can point me in the right direction for a good suburb to look at renting/buying a place. Cheers Dave

Kwinana for South of the River or Balga for North of the River. Classy town right there :tonguepoke: Na stay as far away from those 2 area's as possible!

How much are you looking at spending on rent or how much to buy??

Hey mate, tell ya what SOR is a good place, not over expensive and lets say in a place like Canningtion (where im currently located) is a great spot nice and quiet, close to shops, public transport,10min from the city and the average rent around here goes from 250-450.

HAHA yeh BALGA! I got so much jobs around that area, man I tell ya its terrible honestly in the last 2 weeks ive seen about 30 odd houses get tagged with something that looks like " SOV? " some sorta BS like that and the construction sites have always gotten smashed winodows and the locals coming and damaging the place... good I wouldnt live around ther even if they payed me... sorry if that affends anyone from that area but yeh lol

I don't think anyone from that area would have a computer to log on here & be offended... Unless they just done a B&E that is :tonguepoke:

I've just had some bad experiences in that area so that's why I'm harsh toward it.

I'm in Nollamara, and that tag is making it's rounds here too, pricks.

Dave, have a look on REIWA for WA residences. I can vouch for NOR, always lived here. always will. From what I've heard the SOR residents have only three fingers and four toes per appendage, but you must make your own call.

Northside For Life...

LOL Dan!

North of the River and West of the freeway. Cant go wrong between Freo and say Joondalup. Look at places like Cottesloe, Floreat, Peppy Grove (but if you had that much cash you would own a mining company!), Hillary's, Sorrento, North Beach, Mullaloo, Heathridge etc. Lots of good shopping centres, schools, parks etc. Close to city.

I reckon Hillarys / Sorrento / Duncraig / Carine isnt too bad, but then again im biased..

Mandurah and Rockingham if you want to live in a living cemetary and get 15 y/o girls pregnant.

Osborne Park is where the cool kids work ;)

Although im really liking the areas being built up towards Brighton and even Hocking and surrounding areas doesnt seem too bad. Bit further to travel but few of my mates have bought houses around these areas and they are happy
