I know of some that have somehow pulled over the 200 rwkw mark, cant remember how they did it. lol, wanna make my NA have as much power as possible, can anyone gimme some pointers? apart from the obvious, zorst, cai, tune etc

A good size snail and a sh*t load of boost or is that to obvious?

options are limited due to the p plate laws brought in just before I got my license, therefore working my n/a is pretty much the only avenue I can go down atm, was thinkin bout a t, then debadging but still a bit risky I think, so, exhaust, cams, head porting and valve work, tune, aprox 6 grand and ill have a pretty mean n/a xr6 right? :D

just wait till your off your p's and buy something good then.

save your money, dont spend it on an n/a, just a big waste.

just thought I'd post this link to a set of N/A crow cams I came across on ebay. they claim up to a 20rwkw gain so they could be a decent investment if you necide to go down the worked N/A path with head work and bolt on's

In all seriousness, I wouldn't worry about spending the money on porting or CAMS. I have an 04 BA XR6 with - Pacemaker 4490 headers, 2.5" Stainless steel Zorst, K&N panel filter, XR6T Upper Snorkel, F6 lower snorkel, 3" CAI, Generic CAPA tunes and am pulling 170rwkw.

With a custom tune I might get another 10 out of it, but that would be about it without spending big $$'s that just aren't worth it for the return. There is a guy here in SA that is getting 196rwkw but has spent (apparently) 10-15k to get it... to me that just doesn't make sense.

I have been pretty lucky that the mods I have done my car has responded well too, and according to KPM I have a bit of a freak. But that being said I will never be happy with the power and I will always want more... :spoton:

hey mate you do know that all the stuff your talking about is also illigal with p plate laws? turbos are illigal but so are engine mods.... even exhaust counts as an engine modification (intake/outlet mods)

go all out or just wait.

Nah, cant drive anything over 200kw at the fly. or any turbod car. so in theory, once im done modding, if I do as planned. it wont be legal for me to drive my car. lol.

in reponse to the dude who said cams and stuff are illegal, how would they know if cams have been done.

PUT A HOLE IN THE FRONT OF YOUR STANDED AIRBOX AND A K&N FILTER (LIKE THE F6) that's AS GOOD AS A SS CAI.

PUT A STOCK XR6T EXHAUST ON, WITH A XFORCE 5INCH CAT.

GOOD HEADERS.

IF AUTO 4SPEED PUT 4-1 DIFF GEARS WITH LIMITED SLIP CENTRE AND 2800 STALL,

COOLER THERMOSTAT,

FLASH TUNE CUSTOM 98 FUEL

THE CAR WILL RUN HIGH 13'S WITCH IS WAY BETTER THEN STOCK, AND WILL HOSE OFF A LOT OF STOCK XR6T'S.

ENDS UP A LOT OF FUN.

AS FOR CAMS, THE RIGHT ONES WILL HELP BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH CAMS ON BA N/A'S YET.

cheers david, exactly what I was after for someone to say somethin like that, but not goin with xforce due to cheap and nasty according to my local exhaust shop, reccomended at the indy to me. going with pacemaker 4490's and a 2 1/2 inch redback twin outlet exhaust. found some cams I may look into claiming a 20 rwkw gain, stage 2 crow cams. looks like im gunna head down the worked n/a road. see where it takes me, I know there wont be any return on it, but its all for fun. and if I can take care of a stock t in my worked n/a id love to see the look on his face when I do so, and as for skylines. that'll be fun too. :D

thanks to all for the help, just one last question, im looking into tuning ( just prices atm as gunna wait till everythin is done b4 I tune ) what sort of prices should I be looking at for a custom tune.. people with experience in tuning plz come forward, any help is muchly appreciated. also reccomended places in the brisbane area would be good. thanks all
