I mentioned that in an earlier post.

It's being advertised in the papers as Top Gear Live, and will be a stage show with Clarkson, Hammond and the Stig.

Top Gear Live is at Acer Arena (NSW) 5th - 8th Feb 09 tickets on sale to general public 16 th Oct. Bookings and info on Ticketek website. I will probably be going .

Cheers

Slowly but surely getting better. Good to see that it might make itself into something really worth watching...like Family Guy :D

Was amusing when they said how Porsche bought a GT-R to test it and couldn't come within 20 seconds (I think he said) of the Porsches time. And they broke it...or wore it out...who do I have to see to get that job...

I heard something on caradvice.com.au the other day that the second season is already confirmed...

I agree that the 3rd ep was better than the first 2 so hopefully it will continue to get better over time.

Last night was another improvement, but you can see why they didn't have the F6 beating the R8 in the 2nd episode.

They, like most of the media in Australia, have been bought by Holden. Their W427 segment was just one big advert for Holden. How dare they say no other car comes close to it for the money! The car appeared to struggle to hit 250kmh, but they made no mention that Expensive Daewoo claims it will do over 300 (without limiter). They also made excuse after excuse for the car, such as: it's double the prce of the R8 because of the engine etc (forget the fact the engne is a straight buy from the US), or that it's be 2 seconds quicker round the track if it had slicks (what the, what car wouldn't be quicker on slicks).

To top it off, Expensive Daewoo gave them 6 Astras to trash. The lawn bowls segment was good fun, but it's obvious that Expensive Daewoo has offered them some incentives for favorable reviews.

Other than that the show was pretty good. They need to fine tune their banter during the news segment, and a bit more of a review on the TRD Hilux would have been good.
